Welcome to Chicago's Eckhart Park located in the West Town neighborhood. This park was first established in 1907 in order to meet the recreational needs of a rapidly growing community. The park is named for Bernard Eckhart who was president of the local park commission at the time the park was established. Famous landscape architect Jens Jensen helped to design the park's facilities. The park's community center offers many programs for kids of all ages.
