Welcome to Chicago's Edward H. White Park located in the Whither-Height community. This park was first established in 1968 and named in memory of Edward White, a NASA astronaut who graduated from the United States Military Academy and eventually served as a fighter pilot. He was one of three astronauts to die in the Apollo 1 fire of 1967. Come out and hit a few home runs, bring the kids to the playground, have fun.
