Welcome to Chicago's Horan Park located in the East Garfield Park neighborhood. This park was first established in 1924 in order to meet the growing recreational needs of the community. It was named for Albert Horan was was Alderman of this section of the city at the time. Before becoming Alderman he served in the United States Army in World War I and worked as a court bailiff and Democratic Committeeman.
