Welcome to Chicago's Hoyne Playground Park located in the McKinley Park community. This was one of the many parks established due to the post World War II demand for recreational facilities. It is named after Thomas Hoyne, a man who served as a judge, United States Attorney, as well as mayor of Chicago for a period of three months in the 19th century. Today this park named in his memory boasts an athletic field, a basketball court, and more. Many of the facilities are available for rental for parties and other events. Come out and have fun.
