Welcome to Chicago's Luna Playlot Park located in the Englewood Community. The City of Chicago first purchased this quarter acre plot of land in 1975 with some assistance from the Federal Government but it was not until 1998 that it was renamed Luna Park due to it's location near site of a once operating Amusement Park with the same name. The original Luna Park was built by the great Big Jim O'Leary and only operated for the 4 year period from 1907-1911.
