Welcome to Chicago's Pietrowski Park located on the south end of town. For many years this park was known as Avenue M Park. It was first established in 1928 but was not managed by the City of Chicago until 30 years later. The park was renamed in memory of Sylvester Pietrowski, a Chicago firefighter who lost his life while battling a fire at a local factory in 1957.
