Welcome to Chicago's Revere Park.

Park History: In the late 19th century the land that is now Revere Park was the site of a brick factory built by Wolfbram Baul. The factory only lasted for about a decade and then the land was used as a local dump. In 1917 a River Park District Commissioner by the name of John O'Shea grew sick of the eyesore that was the local dump and began advocating for making the site into a city park. O'Shea's idea was not met with much resistance and 4 years later his wish was granted and O'Shea Park was established. Throughout the 1920's various improvements were made to the park including planting of trees, the construction of a fieldhouse, and various amenities designed by renowned architect Jacob Crane Jr. One board member Albert F. Otte motioned that the site be renamed in memory of Paul Revere, a Revolutionary War Veteran who rode all night across Massachusetts to warn the army of the British Approach.

In 1934 Revere Park fell under new jurisdiction when the River Park District and all the other smaller districts merged with the Chicago Park District. Today this park offers many fun opportunities for residents and visitors of Chicago. Come on out and have fun. All of the athletic facilities are lighted so people can play at night.
