Welcome to Sweet Clover Playlot Park located in Chicago's Austin Community. The Federal Government helped the CIty of Chicago purchase this property in 1974 but the park did not get it's name until 1998. It is said that in the summer evenings of the Austin Community in the late 19th century, that the smell of sweet clover permeated the air. At the time the Austin Community was more of a rural area but Chicago did grow. Today this park has a playground.
