Welcome to Chicago's Wendell Smith Playlot Park located in the Roseland section. The park's community center offers many programs including little league baseball, after school programs, and day camp in the summer. This park was first established in 1975 and was named for a local African-American sports reporter, Wendell Smith, who moved to the region in 1947 and passed away in 1972.
