Welcome to Downers Grove's Ebersold Park, named for it's previous owners Fred and Marguerite Ebersold, who allowed local children to use it for recreational purposes even before they sold it to the city. The nothern section of the park is the more developed section with ball fields and a playground. The southern area is left more in a state of nature and has a small wetland preserve. Many people come here on snowy winter days for its sledding hill. The hilltop is a nice place for kite flying on windy days.
