Memorial Park is a small piece of green space in Elgin, Illinois. It has no developed facilities but it does have some history. The house of the founder of the City of Elgin, James Gifford, once stood on this property.

Elgin Park Ordinances
*All motor vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey 15 m.p.h. speed limit and all State of Illinois traffic laws.
*Don't be a litterbug. Please put all trash in proper containers.
*Consumption of alcoholic beverages requires special permit.
*Do not disturb any plants or animals.
*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at dawn and close at dusk.
*All dogs must be leashed.
*All fires are restricted to picnic grills.
Please respect these ordinances as well as all local, State of Illinois, and United States statutes.
