Fox River Boat Access
Located right off of Interstate 90 on the banks of the Fox River in Elgin Illinois Trout Park has long been a special place for the people of Metropolitan Chicago. In 1972 it was officially declared an Illinois State Nature Preserve and is home to many unique and natural features including the rare White Cedar Tree. Some of the resident wild animals include white-tailed deer, raccoons, turtles, hawks, owls, squirrels, and many others.
The developed section of the park includes a boat ramp on the Fox River, a 50 person picnic shelter that can be reserved by calling 847-531-7000, and a baseball diamond. Come out and have fun.
