Welcome to Walton Island Park located on the Fox River in Elgin, Illinois just south of the Interstate 90 bridge. This is actually a manmade island that was created in the 1930's during the Works Progress Administration under president Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The park's gazebo is a popular spot for local celebrations, events, and wedding photos. One can also cast a line into the river with hopes of catching some fish. Come on out and enjoy the scenery and have fun! Walton Island Park was Park of the day on August 6, 2014.
