Maple Trail Woods Park is located in Elmhurst, Illinois along the banks of Salt Creek. This natural park was first purchased by the local park district from 1965 to 1969. In the 1970's additional purchases were made and today the forest preserve district of DuPage County helps to manage some of the land. Wild animals such as white-tailed deer, coyotes, foxes, raccoons, grey squirrels, red-tailed hawks, and many others can be found here. For the recreational enthusiast this park has nature trails, picnic tables, and awesome bird-watching. Come out and explore!
Elmhurst Park Rules
*All Elmhurst Parks open at dawn and close at dusk. Lighted athletic facilities close at 11pm.
*The following must stay in designated areas, picnic grills, motor vehicles.
*All dogs must be leashed (no leash longer than 6 feet) and waste removed. *The following are all prohibited, alcoholic beverages, weapons, golfing, littering.
*The 10mph speed limit on the park roads is enforced.
