Welcome to Salt Creek Greenway Forest Preserve located in Elmhurst, Illinois. This small undeveloped nature preserve helps serve a storm-water retention function for the surrounding neighborhoods.  

Flora and Fauna: Salt Creek Greenway Forest Preserve helps protect the home of numerous plant and animal species. Some of the plants that grow inside the preserve boundaries include elms, boxelders, ashes, and cottonwoods. Some of the wild animals who call this place home include squirrels, raccoons, and hawks. Please treat their home with respect.  

For the lover of the outdoors this Preserve has no developed amenities but it is open to the public from one hour after dawn until one hour after dusk daily.
