Welcome to Wild Meadows Trace Park located in Elmhurst, Illinois. Many years ago this park was once property of the Great Western Railroad. In 1971 it was first purchased by the local park district and today much of the land has been returned to a state of nature. shrubs, wildflowers, and forests of this park help protect wildlife habitat for blue herons, many songbirds, hawks, owls, squirrels, deer, and raccoons. There is a developed section of the park that has a U.S. Bicentennial Fountain and a memorial dedicated to the victims of September 11, 2001. There are many multipurpose trails for all seaons. Come out and explore!
Elmhurst Park Rules
*All Elmhurst Parks open at dawn and close at dusk. Lighted athletic facilities close at 11pm.
*The following must stay in designated areas, picnic grills, motor vehicles.
*All dogs must be leashed (no leash longer than 6 feet) and waste removed. *The following are all prohibited, alcoholic beverages, weapons, golfing, littering.
*The 10mph speed limit on the park roads is enforced.
