Welcome to the Mackinaw River State Fish and Wildlife Area, over 1,400 acres of forested hills, and open meadows located near Mackinaw, Illinois. Recreational opportunities in this preserve are relatively restricted. Groups of 25 or more must register with the site office before coming. All pets must be leashed at all times. Come on out and explore.
