Welcome to Morrison Rockwood State Park located in Whiteside County, Illinois near Morrison.

Park History: Morrison Rockwood State Park was established in 1971 as a day use park. The park's name comes from the nearby town as well as the proximity of Rock Creek and the park's lush forest. The park's lake was named for L. Carlton Anderson, a local conservation leader. Lake Carlton has nearly 3 miles of shoreline and is stocked with bass, catfish, sunfish, bluegill, muskie, and walleye.

Today this park is one of the most popular recreation parks in northern Illinois and boasts miles of multipurpose trails, 92 campsites that all have electricity, and a boat ramp. Come on out and explore!
