Welcome to the beautiful and natural Lockwood Park in Rockford, Illinois on the banks of the North Fork of Kent Creek just east of Anna Page Forest Preserve. Come out and explore the trails here. It is a great place for bird-watching. Some of the resident wildlife include white-tailed deer, owls, blue herons, and red-tailed hawks.
Rockford Park Rules
*Consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.
*All dogs must be leashed and waste removed. Permits are required to use any of the dog parks.
*All parks open at sunrise and close at sunset except for the larger community parks which open at 8am and close at 10pm.
*The Rockford Park District has a "Go before you go" policy. This means that public urination and defacation are prohibited even in parks that do not have restroom facilities.
*Please report all vandalism or other illegal activities to the park police by calling 815-987-8874.
*Park only in designated areas.
*Weapons are prohibited in all city parks.
