Welcome to to Sugar Creek Park located in Vernon Hill, Illinois. This park was first acquired by the local park district in 1988 and to this day it remains mostly in it's natural state. The developed section includes a picnic shelter, a playground, and a foot trail to nearby Sullivan Woods. Come out and explore.
Vernon Hills Park District Rules
*All animals must be leashed (no longer than 6 feet) and waste removed.
*The following are prohibited in all recreation areas operated by the City of Vernon Hills; foul langugage, threatening behavior, littering, panhandling, glass objects, fireworks, alcohol, narcotics
*All vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey all traffic laws.
*All solicitation and sales require special permit.
*Please respect all park property. Tree climbing is prohibited.
*All picnic parties 20 people or more require special permit.
*The following activities are only allowed in designated areas; swimming, sledding, skating, golfing, fishing.
Please respect these rules, the parks, and all local State of Illinois and United States statutes. Please report any suspicious or illegal activity to any member of the Vernon Hills Park Staff or call 911. Be safe and come out and have fun.
