Timber Ridge and Kline Creek Farm
Welcome to Timber Ridge and Kline Creek Farm. At one time this land cleared for agricultural purposes, but today it has been restored to a natural habitat of oak forests, wetlands, and lakes. This preserve boasts many unique natural features including one of only two natural lakes in the DuPagee County Forest Preserve District, Spring Lake, ephemeral ponds, rare and endangered plants, and numerous colorful birds. One part of the land's agriculture past remains, the Kline Creek Farm with living history exhibits and numerous educational opportunities for local youth groups and school children.
Wildlife: Timber Ridge Kline Creek Farm Forest Preserve helps protect the home of numerous wild animals including squirrels, raccoons, northern leopard frogs, Baltimore orioles, and scarlet tanagers.
For the lover of the outdoors this preserve boasts over two miles of multipurpose trails, a fishing lake, a picnic area, and so much more. Come on out and explore.
