Welcome to Mertz Memorial Park, a suburban Chicago neighborhood park located in the Ashmont Subdivision of Westmont, Illinois. This park has an informal soccer field (which means you will probably have to bring your own goals, a baseball backstop (so please bring your own bases), and a play structure for the kids.
While visiting any park in Westmont, Illinois. One must be respectful of the rules.
*All vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey all State of Illinois traffic laws.
*It is a crime to damage or destroy any piece of park property including benches, buildings, athletic courts, trees, bushes, etc.
*All burning is restricted to picnic grills. Fireworks are prohibited.
*Please refrain from using foul language or engaging in boisterous behavior. Such behavior includes but is not limited to, physical activity that can jeopardize the safety of other park users, sexual intercourse, etc.
*All children ages 5 and up must use restrooms for their designated sex.
*All weapons, pets, and alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
*The following activities are only allowed in designated areas; sledding, ice-skating, skiing, golfing, fishing, camping, operating of remote control aircraft, cycling, skating, and skateboarding.
*Use of metal detectors requires special permit.
*All parks open at 6 a.m. and close at sunset.
