Wheaton Illinois Parks
Welcome to Hurley Gardens located in Wheaton, Illinois near the intersection of Creekside Drive and Adare Drive.
Park History: This small park was once a part of the 160 acre Hurley Farm estate in the early 20th century. The garden's gazebo and loggia are estimated to have been built sometime between 1910 and 1913 and the reflecting pool, once a swimming pool, was built sometime during the roaring 1920s. It was the 1893 Columbian Exposition held in Chicago that helped influence the Neo-Classical design of the garden's structures. In 1991 this place was designated as a Wheaton Historical Landmark and today it gives visitors a glimpse into the past.
This park also boasts one tennis court and one grassy area suitable for various types of activities. Come on out and have fun.
