Welcome to Hayswood Nature Reserve located in Corydon, Indiana.

Preserve History: The land that is now Hayswood Nature Reserve was first donated to Harrison County in 1969 by Dr. Samuel Hays. In 1973 a small piece of the park was developed but most of it remains in it's natural state to this day living up to the dream of Dr. Hays. In the early 19th century this land was owned by a man named Henry Fabrique who built a mill along Indian Creek in 1820 which operated for the next 100 years.

For the lover of the outdoors Hayswood Nature Reserve boasts a fishing lake, a paved walking trail, horseshoe pits, two playgrounds, and much more. Come on out and have a blast!
