Welcome to the lovely Oak Ridge Prairie County Park in Griffith, Indiana. This park first opened in the fall of 1983 and has been expanded a few times over the years. The Land and Water Conservation Fund helped to build this park's trails. On snowy winter days many flock here to go sledding down the hill. One of the park's more unique features is it's ADA accessible hayrides which began in 2005. One can access the paved multipurpose Oak Savannah Trail here. This park's location next to an airport and along railroad tracks makes it a great place for flight watching as well as train-watching. The picnic area has grills so bring some meats for cooking.
