Welcome to Indy's Beckwith Park. This small urban park used to be called Salem Village Park until 1970 when it was renamed after Frank Beckwith, the first African American to run for president who ran against Richard Nixon in the 1960 Primary. Beckwith was a native of Indianapolis and also a successful attorney and advocate for civil rights. This park boasts two basketball courts and a handicapped accessible playground for the kids. Come on out and have fun. This park was RecPlanet place of the day on December 18, 2014.

To discuss reservations please call 317-327-7418.
