Sam Peden Community Park

Welcome to Floyd County's largest Park, Sam Peden Community Park, home of the marvelous 15 acre Kiwanis Lake. This park also boasts three basketball courts, eleven tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, five picnic shelters, four playgrounds for the kids, six horseshoe pits, a football field, a two mile multipurpose trail, a sledding hill in the wintertime, and two soccer fields. If you are going to fly a kite on one of it's open fields please make sure the wind is not blowing towards the power lines that cross the park. Come on out and have a blast! Floyd County Park Rules

*People who use the park's picnic facilities must clean up when they are finished.

*Please respect the safety of all park users and staff.

*The following are all prohibited, fireworks, weapons, removal of plants, swimming, golfing, damaging public property, littering, alcoholic beverages, metal detectors, harrassing wildlife, panhandling, soliciting, motorized watercraft, posting.

*All burning is restricted to grills.

*No camping without special permission.

*All children ages six years of age and older, unless needing special assistance, may not use the restrooms designated for the opposite sex.

*No smoking near playgrounds or youth activity centers.

*All motor vehicles must stay in designated areas.

*All animals must be leashed and waste removed. The leash may not be more than 10 feet in length.
