Welcome to the beautiful Memorial Park located in downtown McPherson, Kansas. This urban park was once called Central Park but was renamed in 1941 in honor of the people who died serving in the United States military. There are monuments inside the park dedicated to every single war in which the United States has fought and there is also a statue of James Birdseye McPherson for whom the city and county are named.

When visiting any park in McPherson, Kansas please respect the rules.
*Is it prohibited to climb any tree or fence inside the city parks.
*All vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey all State of Kansas traffic laws.
*It is unlawful to litter. Please help keep the parks clean and place all trash in proper containers.
*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at 6 a.m. and close at midnight.
*Overnight camping requires special permit.
*Use of metal detectors, consumption of alcoholic beverages, and golfing are prohibited in all city parks.
