Dr. Glen Dey Park

Welcome to one of Wichita's largest and most active recreation areas, the great Dr. Glen Dey Park. The land for this park was first purchased in 1971 with aid from Federal Grants. For many years this place was known as Grove Park but was renamed in 2011 for a man who did a lot for the park. One can access the K-96 bike path from here. 

Wichita Park Rules
 

*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at 6:00 a.m. and close at midnight.

*The following are prohibited; defacing public property, weapons, fireworks, littering, gambling, hunting, harming wild animals.

*The following require special permits; sales, parades, overnight camping, amplified sound, landing of hang-gliders, hot air balloons or skydivers.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; fires, fishing, motor vehicles, organized athletic play, horseback riding, swimming, golfing, bicycles, flying remote control aircraft, archery.

*All dogs must be leashed and waste removed.

*All persons aged 14 and up are prohibited from using the playground.
