Welcome to Lynette Woodard Park in Wichita, Kansas. This park was first established in 1980 and is home to the active Atwater Neighborhood Resource Center which has both indoor and outdoor athletic courts. In 1984 the park was renamed in honor of Olympic Basketball Star Lynette Woodard.
Wichita Park Rules
*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at 6:00 a.m. and close at midnight.
*The following are prohibited; defacing public property, weapons, fireworks, littering, gambling, hunting, harming wild animals.
*The following require special permits; sales, parades, overnight camping, amplified sound, landing of hang-gliders, hot air balloons or skydivers.
*The following are only allowed in designated areas; fires, fishing, motor vehicles, organized athletic play, horseback riding, swimming, golfing, bicycles, flying remote control aircraft, archery.
*All dogs must be leashed and waste removed.
*All persons aged 14 and up are prohibited from using the playground.
