Wichita Kansas Trails
Pawnee Prairie Park is a large nature preserve in Wichita, Kansas located just west of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Airport. Local, state, as well as Federal funds from the Land Water Conservation Fund helped make Wichita's largest park a reality. Some of the resident wildlife include foxes, squirrels, and white-tailed deer. The picnic area has grills so bring some meats for cooking.
Wichita Park Rules
*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at 6:00 a.m. and close at midnight.
*The following are prohibited; defacing public property, weapons, fireworks, littering, gambling, hunting, harming wild animals.
*The following require special permits; sales, parades, overnight camping, amplified sound, landing of hang-gliders, hot air balloons or skydivers.
*The following are only allowed in designated areas; fires, fishing, motor vehicles, organized athletic play, horseback riding, swimming, golfing, bicycles, flying remote control aircraft, archery.
*All dogs must be leashed and waste removed.
*All persons aged 14 and up are prohibited from using the playground.
