Welcome to what is considered to be the crown jewel of the Hagerstown, Maryland Park system, as well as one of the most scenic urban parks in the United States, the great City Park. Inside this park remains the old homestead of the founder of the City of Hagerstown, Jonathan Hager. Some of the park's amenities include walking trails, a lighted softball field, tennis courts, and more. Come out and have fun.

When visiting any park in Hagerstown, Maryland it is important to know the rules.
*Alcoholic beverages and glass containers are prohibited.
*All burning is restricted to picnic grills.
*The following activities are prohibited; soliciting, camping, setting off rockets, playing with remote control aircraft, boating, swimming, use of metal detectors.
*Inline-skates, bicycles, and skateboards must stay in designated areas.
*No littering! Please place all trash in proper containers.
*Fishing is only allowed at Pangborn Park.
*All motor vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey all traffic laws.
*All animals must be leashed and waste removed.
*Please do not use foul language or engage in boisterous behavior. Please respect the safety of other users.
Any person violating any of these rules is subject to jail time and/or a $500 fine. Please respect these rules, the parks, and all local, State of Maryland, and United States Statutes. Be safe and have fun.
