Welcome to the Hiawatha National Forest, sprawling across the scenic upper peninsula of Michigan on the shores of Lakes Michigan, Superior, and Huron.
Flora and Fauna: The Hiawatha National Forest helps protect the home of numerous plant and animal species. Some of the plants that grow inside the forest boundaries include red maples, sugar maples, American beeches, northern white cedars, red pines, white pines, and many others. Some of the wild critters who call this place home include deer, wolves, lynx, and the endangered Kirtland's warbler. Please treat their home with respect.
