Welcome to Milham Park in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This park is named for the land's previous owner John Milham who sold it to the City of Kalamazoo in the early 20th Century for $10K.
Picnicking: Milham Park has 2 picnic shelters. The smaller northern shelter has a 40 person capacity and the larger southern shelter has a 144 person capacity. Both shelters have grills and can be rented out for special events.
The park's website says 49 acres but the GIS data lists the number below. Thus the exact acreage is unknown.
Kalamazoo Park Ordinances
*The following are prohibited; camping, sleeping between the hours of 9 p.m. and 7 a.m., alcoholic beverages, defacing public property, littering.
*The following are only allowed in designated areas; bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards, swimming, fishing, picnic grilling.
*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at 8 a.m. and close at sunset.
*All dogs must be leashed and waste removed.
