Old Mill State Park
Welcome to Old Mill State Park located near Argyle Minnesota.
Park History: At Old Mill State Park the name pretty much says it all. In the late 19th century, the land was the homestead of the Larson family who helped to build a series of mills including one powered by water, one powered by a steam engine, and another one powered by wind. Many individuals owned and operated these mills before the State of Minnesota took ownership in 1937. In 1958, the steam engine was rebuilt, and each year it's fired up for special events that occur at the park. The park also contains a section of the old Pembina trail.
Wildlife: Old Mill State Park helps protect habitat for numerous wild critters including beavers, raccoons, rabbits, and numerous birds of prey. Please treat their home with respect.
For the lover of the outdoors this park boasts miles of multipurpose trails, and a picnic shelter. Come on out and have fun and learn some history!
