Welcome to Charles Lindberg State Park, located Little Falls Minnesota, the hometown of the first solo-pilot across the Atlantic, Charles Lindbergh.
Park History: After Charles Lindbergh became world famous for his solo-flight across the North Atlantic, much attention was brought to his hometown of Little Falls Minnesota. Today 2 of the original buildings remain, the ice house and the farm house. The Park is actually named for Charles Lindbergh's farther, Charles Linbergh Sr. who served in the U.S. House of Representatives for the State of Minnesota and ran a losing campaign for governor. The land in and around Charles Lindbergh State Park was carved out by glacial retreat over 10,000 years ago.
Flora and Fauna: Charles Lindbergh State Park helps protect the home of numerous plant and animals species. Some of the plants that grow inside the boundaries include oaks, aspens, and conifers. Some of the wild animals who call this place home include deer, raccoons, foxes, owls, bald eagles, and hawks. Please treat their home with respect.
For the lover of the outdoors Charles Lindbergh State Park boasts over seven miles of trails, 38 campsites (15 with electricity), and so much more. Come on out and have fun.
