Welcome to the grand and active American Legion Park in Columbia, Missouri. In 1966 this park was leased to the city by American Legion Post Herbert Williams for a price of only a dollar a year. In 2000 the legion donated 16 acres to the city.
The two ball diamonds are lighted so people can play at night.
Columbia Missouri Park Ordinances
*The following are prohibited; defacing public property, removing plants or animals, climbing trees, littering, foul language, disorderly behavior, weapons, alcoholic beverages.
*The following are only allowed in designated areas; motor vehicles, swimming, boating, picnic grilling, camping, horseback riding.
*All persons age 4 and over must use the restroom of their designated sex.
