Welcome to Big Creek Conservation Area located at the edge of Thousand Hills State Park on the shores of Forest Lake in Kirksville, Missouri in Adair County. This preserve is about 75% forest and %25 grassland at least at the time this description was written in July of 2021. Many anglers come to Big Creek Conservation Area for bass, catfish, and sunfish and many hunters come for deer, rabbit, squirrel, and wild turkey. Come out and explore the trails.
