Welcome to Montrose Conservation Area located on the shores of Montrose Lake in Montrose, Missouri in Henry County. In the early 1950's a utility company purchased around 4,000 acres in the area in order to create a 1,600 acre lake. In 1957 they began to lease the land to the State of Missouri for public use.
