Welcome to the great Bluestem State Recreation Area located on the shores of Bluestem Lake near Martell, Nebraska about 18 miles south of Lincoln.

Boating and Fishing: This park is full of aquatic recreational opportunities and all types of boats are allowed on the lake. Some of the fish in the lake include largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, and many others. The lake also has swimming beaches for the summer months but there are no lifeguards on duty so swim at your own risk.

Picnicking: There are 62 picnic tables and 97 grills in the park's picnic area.
