Welcome to Sunnyside Recreation Area. This beautiful park is the home of Monmouth County's equestrian division and provides horseback riding experiences for people of all abilities including people with disabilities.  

Park History: The Sunnyside Recreation Area traces it's roots back to the 18th century when a man named Sylvanus Grover purchased two tracts of land near what is now Middletown-Lincroft Road. The home that Grover built still stands on the property today (though renovations have been done over the years). In the late 19th century, after going through several different owners, the land became known as Sunnyside Farm.  

In 1933 the land was purchased by Henry and Katherine Neuberger who turned from a farm into a country estate. In 1990 Monmouth County purchased the land. Come on out and ride some horses!
