Welcome to Adirondack Forest Preserve, over 2.6 million acres of protected lands in northeast New York. In the late 19th century heavy logging was taking it's toll on the regional landscape and in 1892 Adirondack Forest Preserve was established in order to protect it's wetlands, forests, and rivers from the impact of human development.
