Welcome to New York City's Woodruff Playground located in Brooklyn. This park is named after a great businessman who served at Lt. Governor of New York in the late 19th and early 20th century, Timothy L. Woodruff. Woodruff was born in New Haven, Connecticut on August 4, 1858 and grew up to graduage from Yale, one of the world's top schools located in the same town in which he was born.
New York City Park Ordinances
*Unless otherwise posted all parks close at 1:00 a.m. and open at 6:00 a.m.
*The following are prohibited; childless adults in the playground areas, defacing public property, fighting, gambling, glass objects, harming wildlife, littering, sexual activity, weapons.
*The following are only allowed in designated areas; alcoholic beverages, bicycles, fires, fishing, horseback riding, motor vehicles, swimming.
*The following require special permits; camping, sales.
*All animals must be leashed and waste removed.
