Welcome to Marconi Park in Queens, New York. This park is named after the great Italian inventor Guglielmo Marconi who is credited with developing the wireless telegraph and subsequently the modern radio. Marconi was born in Bologna to an Italian father and an Irish mother. 

New York City Park Ordinances

*Unless otherwise posted all parks close at 1:00 a.m. and open at 6:00 a.m.

*The following are prohibited; childless adults in the playground areas, defacing public property, fighting, gambling, glass objects, harming wildlife, littering, sexual activity, weapons.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; alcoholic beverages, bicycles, fires, fishing, horseback riding, motor vehicles, swimming.

*The following require special permits; camping, sales.

*All animals must be leashed and waste removed.
