Maumee Bay State Park
Welcome to Ohio's beautiful Maumee Bay State Park, one of the region's highest rated recreation areas.
Boating: Aside from a 32 slip marina with access to Lake Erie, there is also a small 57 acre inland lake that is more suited for smaller watercraft.
Fishing: Lake Erie itself has some of the world's finest walleye fishing but anglers can also hope to catch catfish, perch, smallmouth bass, and others. Come out and cast a line.
Picnicking: There are a total of six picnic shelters and four of them have grills. To reserve a picnic shelter please call 866-644-6727.
Trails: Come out and explore over 2.5 miles of multipurpose trails for all seasons. On cold winter days skiers come to the trails and sledders to the hill.
Birding: With over 300 species of birds this is a very popular destination for bird-watching.
History: This parks unique wetland landscape was carved out by glacial retreat at the end of the last ice age over 12,000 years ago. It first became a State Park in 1974.
