Welcome to Skinner Butte Park located on the banks of the Willamette River in Eugene, Oregon. First established in 1914 on land that was once owned by Eugene Skinner, one of the region's first white settlers, this is one of Eugene's oldest recreation areas. There are a lot of historic sites in this park including many old buildings including the 1888 Shelton McMurphey Johnson House (known by many as the castle on the hill), an old rock quarry with 45 foot rock climbing walls, and more. Come climb the walls or bring the children to the ADA accessible playground.
