Welcome to the Fremont National Forest located in south central Oregon on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains.
Forest History: The Fremont National Forest was established in 1908 and named for the famous explorer John Fremont.
Wildlife: This forest helps protect the habitat of numerous wild critters including mule deer, antelope, mountain lions, bobcats, black bears, and many others. Please treat their home with respect.
For the lover of the outdoors this forest boasts many miles of multipurpose trails and winter resorts including the Warner Canyon Ski Area. Come on out and have a blast!
