Welcome to Portland's Albert Kelly Park.
Park History: This park was named after Albert Kelly, a man who was born in Kentucky but set out for Oregon with his brothers in 1848. After making it as far as Missouri and then turning back, he finally made it to Oregon the following year. The parks first 9 acres were sold to the City of Portland by Kelly's granddaughter Mrs. Hildegarde Plummer in 1956 for a price of $25,000. Additional purchases in the late 1950's and mid 1960's increased the park to it's present day size of 12 acres.
For the lover of the outdoors this park boasts a volleyball court, a walking trail, and much more. Come on out and have a blast!
