Welcome to Chapman Square located in downtown Portland, Oregon. This park was first established in 1869 making it one of the city's oldest public spaces. It was named for a migrant from Virginia who served as the surveyor General of Oregon in the mid 19th century.

*All parks open at 5:00 a.m. and close at midnight.
*The following are prohibited; littering, defacing public property, illegal drugs, alcoholic beverages, weapons, fireworks.
*The following require special permits; sales.
*The following are only allowed in designated areas, fishing, motor vehicles, fires, golfing, archery, remote control vehicles.
*All animals must be leashed (no longer than 8 feet) and waste removed.
