Welcome to Ross Island Natural Area on the Willamette River in Portland Oregon. This park was first established in 2008 and was the site of a sand and gravel mine that operated for many decades starting in the 1920's by the Ross Island Sand and Gravel Company. In 2007 a man with the company named Dr. R.B. Pamblin Jr. donated many acres of land to the City of Portland. Access is restricted to volunteer work parties.

*Unless otherwise posted all parks close at 12:01 a.m. and open at 5:00 a.m.
*The following are prohibited; alcoholic beverages (except during special occasions under specific circumstances), defacing public property, harming wildlife, littering, tobacco products, weapons.
*The following are only allowed in designated areas; archery, bathing, fires, fishing, golfing, motor vehicles, remote control aircraft, swimming.
*The following require special permits; sales, setting off fireworks.
*Please try to use the restrooms for all purposes of urination or defacation.
*All dogs must be leashed (no longer than 8 feet) and waste removed.
